Our Stories and Chefs programming series pairs expertly crafted stories with beautifully curated meals from the finest chefs in Chicago. To create this one-of-a-kind experience, 2nd Story provides chefs with four original stories; chefs then respond with four courses in dialogue with the tone, content, and spirit of each story. Guests enjoy an intimate and immediate sensory experience, as they indulge in an evening of food, wine, and storytelling.

With an affinity for all things local and a background in traditional French cooking, Executive Chef Nicole Pederson unites regional ingredients with world-class culinary standards at restaurateur Amy Morton’s Evanston, IL restaurants. The culinary force behind two concepts with similar philosophies but divergent cuisines, Pederson oversees the kitchens at Found Kitchen and Social House, at which she creates flexitarian, shared- plate menus, and The Barn, known for its meat-centric menu offering classic, refined dishes rooted in French technique.
